MS Outlook Email VBO - unable to get emails

Hi all,

Just started using Blue Prism a few days back.

I am using the MS Outlook Email VBO to Get Received Items (Basic). However, I am unable to retrieve any emails as the Items collection is empty. I left all the inputs field blank and the outputs as the Items collection & Item Count.

I am currently on BP version 6.3. Is there any pre configuration that needs to be done before being able to retrieve outlook emails through the VBO?

Any help is appreciated thanks!

Hi R,
Provide input fields like Sender Name or Subject and check.

Thanks,
Mani.
Hi Mani,

I have tried filling up those fields with the accurate sender's name / email and subject but the collection retrieved is still empty.
Is there any configuration that needs to be done on outlook side?
I am able to send out emails successfully via the action "Send Email" though.

Thanks for your help!

You can't...Only using mapiex VBO you can manage different Outlook profiles. Unfortunately mapiex don't run on BP vers. 6.3 and later .

Issue is you have multiple accounts and every account has the folder name called inbox.
In my case i used option 2

Two options.
Option 1:
Go to control panel>> mail >> create one more profile >> enable prompt to choose profile.
Then open outlook and configure only one account.

Challenge: Every time you have to switch between the profiles to access other email accounts.

Option 2:
In your current setup
create a sub folder with unique name and move the items to this folder by creating rules, which you want to handled by robot.

Then you will be able to access without issue.
