How to attach Excel (opened by SAP)?

Hello everyone,

is there a way how to attach the excel which gets automatically opened by SAP when robot is saving report as spreadsheet? But the Excel isn't opened within the RPA Excel instance...

So far I kill the excel process and open the excel again but it doesn't feel right, especially when I need to download a lot of reports. Excel application also remembers the files for recovery which I am afraid may not have a good effect on memory.

Is there any other way = how to attach the excel?

Hello,

Indeed you can attach, in the Excel VBO you have the action 'Attach to Worksheet'.

Maybe attach Excel and save it. Open Excel again with VBO and work from there. The problem is if your ERP system uses a different version of Excel than your robot server does.

In MS VBO you can use get active workbook details and then you can use save work book as using the outputs of get active workbook action

Hi,

That didn't work as Excel opened by SAP isn't part of any Instance within Blue Prism's reach.
