ordinal number

What is the logic in ordinal numbering? in a tutorial video for the older version of calculator app, it seemed to suggest that
it increases top to bottom and left to right i.e. topmost key is 0, key below it is 1 and so on?

this ordinal numbering scheme seems to be different for different apps though

There is no documentation explaining what the ordinal numbers are. And yes you are right it is different for different applications and the best way is to spy the elements in those apps and see the order.
