How to convert date captured as TEXT format to DATE format?

I tried to save in a data item with DATE, but it's getting store in TEXT format only

If you save it as text, you can try to make a calculation stage with that text and format the data type to date.

Ya it's working in local system but, when we running in QA VM, it's not getting convert.
