Unable to highlight elements inside IE child window

I am able to spy on (IE HTML mode) individual elements inside an Internet Explorer child window. But when I try to highlight the same it throws an error (No element match the supplied query term).
I am using a separate object and attaching to the child window using window title.
I am using BP v.6.4.
Please advise.
