I tried reading values with OCR , its reading correctly but for few characters its not recognizing . Please check some of the examples which we faced so far.

Example :
  • Instead of " GLDLAZD" BOT read as "GLDI_AZD| "
  • Instead of "LSVMNWWV" Bot read as "LSVM NWWV" --- Temporary fix replaced " " (space) with "" (without space)

Hi, are you trying to recognise a scanned image? If so, you should expect some inaccuracy from Read Text with OCR.

If you are trying to use Surface Automation to recognise font on an application for instance you should use 'Recognise text' instead. This will match pixel for pixel against the font. As such, as long as you set the correct font, this method should always work accurately.

OCR will try always try and determine a result for what it is trying to read, whereas Recognise Text will either match the font or fail entirely, making it much more reliable.

That can be really frustrating, but don't worry, you're not alone! OCR can be finicky sometimes, especially when it comes to certain fonts. Have you tried reaching out to Smart Engines for some help? They're a company that specializes in OCR technology and might be able to offer some solutions. In the meantime, it looks like you found a temporary fix for the issue by replacing the space with no space. That's clever! Another thing you could try is tweaking the settings on your OCR software, like adjusting the contrast or resolution. Sometimes that can make a big difference.
