Bytes function

Please somebody explain me in the simplest language what is the use of function “bytes” and where can it be used?

I guess this is the least used expression function.
Of course there would be some usage which I have not used yet.

Bytes under Data gets the number of bytes in some binary data. You need to provide the data and it will calculation how many bytes it has.
