Check on the emulators and the version in the prod, which client do they have and BP is supporting it or not because there are few third party integration which BP supports for efficiency. Try to find the documentation for the emulator and support so that once you have the idea it will be easy to work on it. Check for the BP support document for the mainframe emulator your using which will have few perks on how to integrate and work on.
