Surface Automation - Read stage Handle is Invalid

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to read text value from PDF using surface automation. It is working perfect in open VDI but while testing on Close VDI it's showing "ERROR: Internal : Failed to perform step 1 in Read Stage 'Read Value ' on page 'PDF' - The handle is invalid"

Does anyone know the reason? I am using read text with OCR to read text.

Any help will be appreciated.

Can you please explain me in detail ? I am not misunderstanding you are saying to identify the VDI window by spying VDI window?

Thank you for your response. I tried to active window before read stage but still was getting same error.

I found solution. It was failing because of VDI. I am using Citrix. The way I was doing is I am disconnecting my VDI and running my process from control room. This way is working for all different mode except region mode. Here, I restart my VDI , use my Login bot credential to login in to VDI and than run my process from control room. It got work.


Hope this solution can help someone in future as well.
